PO Attainments Action Taken Reports
The Program Outcome (PO) Attainment Action Taken Report is an essential component of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework adopted by the department to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching–learning process and the achievement of graduate attributes. The assessment of Program Outcomes is carried out through both direct and indirect assessment methods. Direct attainment of POs is derived from the attainment levels of Course Outcomes (COs) Indirect attainment is measured through Program Exit Surveys, Alumni Surveys, and Employer Surveys, which provide feedback on students’ technical competency, communication skills, research aptitude, professional ethics, and lifelong learning abilities.
The PO attainment analysis helps the department identify the strengths and gaps in curriculum delivery, student performance, and skill development. Based on the attainment levels, suitable corrective measures and improvement strategies are implemented to enhance academic quality and student outcomes.
The Action Taken Report provides a framework for continuous quality improvement by enabling faculty members and departmental committees to review attainment results periodically and implement appropriate academic reforms. The observations and recommendations are discussed in PAQIC and DAB meetings to strengthen the attainment of Program Outcomes and ensure that graduates are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required in their domain field.
